Dating back to the 1800s, the crazy quilt became popular for its beautiful embroidery, art, satin stitches and silk fabrics. Ours is created using random, primarily batik, cotton fabrics. While we love it, it does not compare to the silk, embroidered crazy quilts of the past.

Figuring out yardage for a quilt design is a just another type math word problem. We start with the block type and block size, followed by the quilt size to determine the number of blocks needed.
Some people work projects one at a time others have multiple projects going at one time. We fall into the latter category.
