Bunkbed floral quilts - until the spring thaw begins, we are enjoying lovely floral fabrics and quilts.
Above are our two bunkbed quilts made from the same fabrics using different blocks.
Barn quilts are wooden quilt blocks added to the front or side of a barn. The block size makes them visible from a distance. This barn with barn quilt is located in Franconia Township, Minnesota. A great find when out on a winter explore.
Photo taken and edited by Maple Street Textiles.
As you can see, our quilt blocks aren't always perfect. The longer we quilt the more forgiving we are with imperfect blocks- often, these blocks are made into quilts that are loved and used the most.
This quilt pattern by Maple Street Textiles is inspired by our California Redwood photo.
The pattern is intended to be made into a postage stamp quilt.

I had daydreams and fantasies when I was growing up. I always wanted to live in a log cabin at the foot of a mountain. I would ride my horse to town and pick up provisions. Then return to the cabin, with a big open fire, a record player and peace.
Listen to the trees talking in their sleep, what nice dreams they must have.

I have friends who are black, white, purple, gay, straight, Martian, yellow, old, and young. I have friends who are animals and a few who I believe to be robots. All of them are people to me. In my mind, it's not about what you look like or what you do; it's about who you are inside.
